In the late 19th century, when cold weather in Orlando, Florida resulted a severe citrus shortage, Sydney and Joshua Chase of Sanford’s Chase & Company set out in search of remaining groves.  What they found, on a small island in Windermere, were orange and lemon trees in full bloom – a bounty afforded by warming lakes surrounding the island – the sight of which prompted observers to call it the “isle of worth.”

Today, Isleworth, with its custom homes along one of Florida’s top golf course, still provides a bounty, though one different in nature.  In 1984, Chase & Company sold the property to a group of investors headed by golf legend Arnold Palmer, who developed his dream community around one of his signature golf courses.  In 1993, the property was purchased by Tavistock Group, which continued to develop the luxury real estate community around one simple concept – only the best.
